Mass ParentCorps launches its first credentialing cohort in partnership with Urban College on June 17, 2026 — 20 parent leaders from across Massachusetts, Wednesdays 6:30–8:30 PM via Zoom. A second cohort is planned.

In January 2026, Mass ParentCorps conducted six focus groups with 27 parent leaders — four in English, two in Spanish — representing five community-based organizations. Key findings: parent leaders are building workforce-ready skills without formal recognition, and there is strong demand for credentials, paid roles, and college credit.
Urban College is the named partner for the credit-bearing course — offering 3–9 college credits through the "Core Competencies for Community Workers" course. Credits are applicable toward future certificates, associate's degrees, and advanced degrees.
